About the event
Year 2 Heritage Storytelling Workshop
In this interactive workshop, students explore the power of storytelling as an important part of UAE heritage. Through guided stories, discussion, and imaginative participation, children discover how stories have traditionally been used to pass on values, explain the world, and keep culture alive.
Students will be introduced to examples of intangible heritage in the UAE, including oral storytelling and shared traditions, while learning about different forms of traditional storytelling and why they matter. The workshop encourages respect for people, roles, and cultural objects, helping children understand how stories connect to identity, values, and national pride.
By the end of the session, students will gain a deeper appreciation of why preserving stories and traditions is essential to protecting the UAE’s national identity, both in the past and for future generations.
