About the event
Step into the Dramatic World of World War II with Our Immersive Workshop for Year 6!
Join us as we take a journey back in time to one of the most significant periods in modern history World War II. Our engaging and interactive workshop brings history to life, giving children a firsthand experience of what it was like to live through the war.
In our workshop, students will meet characters from the wartime era, including brave soldiers, resilient evacuees, courageous pilots, and determined codebreakers. Through hands-on activities and immersive storytelling, participants will gain a deeper understanding of life on the Home Front and the Frontlines.
Children will experience the challenges and triumphs of wartime Britain, from learning about the Blitz and rationing to deciphering secret messages like the codebreakers of Bletchley Park. They will also have the opportunity to dress in wartime attire, handle replica artifacts, take part in an air raid drill, and even sample wartime recipes.
Led by passionate historians and educators, our workshop aims to ignite curiosity and foster a deeper appreciation for the resilience and bravery of those who lived through World War II. By the end of the day, children will have explored key aspects of wartime life, from the experiences of evacuees and soldiers to the crucial role of women and the impact of wartime inventions.
Don’t miss this unforgettable journey into the past! Let your child step into the shoes of those who lived through World War II and gain a hands-on understanding of this pivotal moment in history.
